Financial support for Simulation Technicians

 

ASPiH is delighted to announce that Scotia UK PLC (smots™) will provide financial support towards simulation technicians attending the ASPIH Conference in Edinburgh. This is the second year that smots™ has provided financial support towards simulation technicians attending the ASPIH Conference. Announcing the launch of this fund the president of ASPiH, Colette Laws-Chapman, said ‘smots™ has been part of the ASPiH community since our first conference 15 years ago. The enthusiasm and willingness of smots™ to support the professional development of simulation technicians in the United Kingdom and Ireland is amazing and we are delighted to be collaborating with them for a second year’.

smots™ is offering the following financial support for simulation technicians who would otherwise not be able to attend the ASPiH conference in Edinburgh:

1.     1 delegate fee (this includes the pre-conference day and the two day conference).

2.     Attendance at the ASPiH conference dinner.

3.     1 year’s ASPiH membership

4.     A maximum contribution of £200 towards two nights hotel accommodation or travel.

 

If you would like to apply for financial support towards attending the ASPiH Conference in Edinburgh, you can submit your application via this LINK.

 

Please note the following points in relation to applying for financial support:

1.     Places are limited and prioritisation will be given to those simulation technicians who:

a.     have never attended an ASPiH conference before.

b.     cannot get funding from their employer.

2.     You must get permission from your employer that you can attend the pre-conference day and the two days of the conference (this is from the 3rd – 5th November 2024).

3.     If you request the £200 contribution towards two nights hotel accommodation or travel, we may contact your manager to confirm this request.

4.     If there is a large number of applications those simulation technicians on a lower annual salary may be prioritised.
